Hi! I'm Mathi, a visual artist, illustrator and art director from Brazil! :)

I love creating by mixing pop, everyday life and fantasy, building vibrant visual compositions and narratives that flirt with fashion and my personal universe. My work explores a variety of techniques, from gouache to digital, from collage to canvas paintings.
I work independently and am always open to collaborations that bring incredible ideas to life!

Illustration has always been around. Even when I was working as an art director, an area in which I have more than 4 years of experience. But it was always among sketchbooks, inks and colored pencils, creating characters and inventing colorful worlds that I felt most creatively free.

It was when exploring figures with unlikely anatomies, surrounded by playful narratives and colorful scenarios, that I understood where my artistic gaze lived.

I was born and raised in the countryside of Rio Grande do Sul, where I currently live. And if there's one thing I've never lacked, it's imagination. With an outgoing personality and a passion for pop culture — from music divas to the incredible universes of cinema and animation — I carry emotional and visual references that fuel my way of telling stories through illustration.

Along the way, I've had the opportunity to illustrate for brands and clients I admire, such as BIBI, Usaflex, Editora Abril, Monkey Tech, As Frutas and Stier.
